Alaafia, y'all!
I'm a sacred healing artist and community medicine woman. I have been guiding people, primarily Black women and femmes, to Self-actualization through divination for the last 7 years.
As a scholar-practioner, my primary focus is the contemporary application of ancient wisdom in oracular traditions.
I am the founding Spiritual Director of the overflo institute, a research-focused contemplative leadership sanctuary in Winston-Salem, NC.
I also serve as Associate Priestess of Ile Ase Ire, a global ministry with a temple located in Winston Salem, NC.
I am a Mother to 3 teenage boys who were my first initiation into caregiving. The mantle of Motherhood is the core of my value of care as vital in our vocations.
I come from a multi-generational lineage of prophetic dreamers and storytellers. As a highly sensitive person since birth, my earliest experiences of higher consciousness happened through Love for others. My foundational knowledge of God and the Holy Spirit comes from my family’s Christian faith tradition, the church of Christ.

Culturally Responsive Vocational Discernment for Theological Education and Beyond
"When you completely surrender to your communal calling not just your gifts, the Universe will orchestrate the Village to develop you and your gifts outside of the Gaze." - Orland Bishop in conversation with me at MAAFA 2024's Pilgrimage in Faithfulness
My thesis prototype for the Sacred Memory Masters of Theological Studies program represents deep personal reflection, communal theological and spiritual formation, and a radical realignment that came from surrender to that communal Call.
It is a burgeoning pedagogical framework for culturally responsive vocational discernment.

THEOLOGY
Praying Heaven Down
Praying Heaven Down: Ending Our Sacrifice in the Politics of Belonging, is the opening chapter in my cohort's book, Reclaiming the Future by Re-Storying the Past: Migrations in Genesis through a Prophetic Sacred Memory Lens. In it, I reflect on my own migration story and imagine Sarai's indigenous spiritual power while in captivity.
SACRED MEMORY
Vocational Statement
This second vocational statement created at the end of our collective Pilgrimage in Faithfulness is a glimpse at my vocational crossroads, a personal reckoning and surrender to a communal call. It also indicates the broadening of my perspective from my original statement at the beginning of seminary.
